There are two ways a deal platform can charge you: a percentage of every voucher you sell, or a flat fee to list. Snaglee charges a flat listing fee of $79 to $599 per deal and takes 0% commission, so you keep 100% of every voucher sale. The difference between those two models is not small, and it grows with every voucher you sell.
A commission scales with your success. A flat fee does not. That single difference is the whole argument, and it is easiest to see at three real listing prices.
The comparison below assumes a 30% commission. Snaglee’s own figures are exact.
| Scenario | Voucher sales | You keep, on Snaglee | You keep, at 30% | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coffee shop80 vouchers at $15 · 1 week, Smart tier ($79) | $1,200 | $1,121 | $840 | +$281 |
| Restaurant150 vouchers at $40 · 3 weeks, Super tier ($199) | $6,000 | $5,801 | $4,200 | +$1,601 |
| Day spa60 vouchers at $150 · 5 weeks, Mega tier ($399) | $9,000 | $8,601 | $6,300 | +$2,301 |
A flat fee is not always cheaper. It becomes cheaper once your voucher sales pass the fee divided by the commission rate. At a 30% commission, a $149 Snaglee listing breaks even at about $497 in voucher sales. Sell less than that and a commission would have cost you less. Sell more — and a successful deal always does — and every additional voucher is money a commission would have taken.
Worth saying plainly, because a number without its edges is not useful:
Snaglee charges a flat listing fee per deal, from $79 to $599 depending on how long the deal runs and the value tier of the voucher. Snaglee takes 0% commission on voucher sales — merchants keep 100% of the revenue from every voucher sold.
A flat fee costs less than a commission once voucher sales pass the fee divided by the commission rate. At a 30% commission, a $149 Snaglee listing costs less than commission on anything above about $497 in voucher sales. Below that, the commission is cheaper.
Voucher payments go directly to the merchant through Stripe Connect, typically arriving in 2-3 business days. The money does not sit with Snaglee.
Only if a merchant chooses it. Merchants can opt into a shared-revenue arrangement: 50% off the listing fee in exchange for sharing 30% of voucher revenue with Snaglee. It is optional, and the default is a flat fee with 0% commission.
The merchant does. Snaglee does not set voucher prices or require a minimum discount depth.
